Order of the pack

the alphas are the leaders of their pack. their word outranks all other members of the pack. although it is not advised, they need no input from the members when making decisions. typically there are two alphas, mates. you can read more on alphas here.

betas are second in commands. they assist the alpha in pack decisions; they have a significant amount of say over the pack. most commonly there are two, a male and female beta.

a delta is a beta in training. usually, they are the product of high ranking wolves. most of their time is assisting a beta and observing them, but a delta may also assist a head hunter or medic. although deltas are "betas in training", they must be significantly intelligent and be able to handle larger Pack based decisions, hence them being third in command. there is only one delta.

the commander is the war general. they are greatly skilled in combat and battle tactics. the commander is also the leader of the scouts and warriors, and may direct them as needed.

the head medic, as their name suggests, is the leader of the medics. they are highly knowledgeable in the field of medicine and plants, more so than the average medic.

the head hunter leads the hunters on hunts. they are skilled in the area of kills and hunting on general.
